Registration in OVIR
If you plan to stay in Kyrgyzstan for more than 5 days (except weekends and holidays) and you are a citizen of the country which is not included in the list presented below, it is necessary to be registered in OVIR as soon as possible. If you plan to stay in Kyrgyzstan for less than 5 days, and if you don’t have any entrance stamps in your Passport, in this case it’s also necessary to be registered in OVIR. ( Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 689 of 19 December 2016 year) General rules and exceptions: Citizens of Russia ,Kazakhstan, Belarus , Armenia and India: in the presence of entrance tickets or stamp in the passport are entitled to stay within the territory of Kyrgyzstan without OVIR registration till 30 days. Citizens of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan: in the presence of entrance tickets or stamp in the passport are entitled to stay within the territory of Kyrgyzstan without OVIR registration till 5 days. Citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran – 8 working days. Сitizens of Azerbaijan – 10 working days Citizens of other CIS and non-CIS countries: in the presence of entrance tickets or stamp in the passport are entitled to stay within the territory of Kyrgyzstan without OVIR registration till 60 days. Citizens of the following countries are released from OVIR registration: 1. Australia 2. Austria 3. Canada 4. Federative Republic of Germany 5. Greece Republic 6. Ireland Republic 7. Italian Republic 8. Kingdom of Belgium 9. Kingdom of Dania 10. Kingdom of Netherlands 11. Kingdom of Norway 12. Kingdom of Spain 13. Kingdom of Sweden 14. New Zealand 15. Republic of Finland 16. Republic of France 17. Republic of Korea 18. Republic of Portugal 19. Switzerland 20. USA
